American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy's Jermain Lowery Promoted to COO
Jermaine Lowery previously served as the director of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy's (AAMFT) Minority
Fellowship Program and has recently been appointed as the chief operating officer (COO) of the AAMFT. In his current role, he oversees
the day-to-day administrative and operational functions of the Foundation and its programs and identifies strategic initiatives. Mr. Lowery
has a formal background and training in public health, health policy and management, analytics, finance, and JEDI (justice, equity,
diversity, and inclusion).
American Nurses Association MFP Alumna Selected for Vanderbilt Grant
Dr. LeTizia Smith, ANA-MFP alumna, has been selected for Vanderbilt University's Sesquicentennial Grant for Project SHARE: Sharing
Strategies for Academic Faculty and Student Recruitment. The program aims to provide a space to create ideas used to recruit faculty
and students from underrepresented ethnic and racial minorities and other underserved populations.
